Guess what, I really want to
go back there, it was a pure
magic. Those treks in the
mountain, and that festival,
just great...

A fabulous trip, I would say
it was the best trip I have
had and i have traveled
fairly extensively. I will
definitely tell others .....
I was very impressed with
the amount of information
we received about the areas
we traveled and the experience
we had.

I enjoyed the added company
- Gautom is great, Nawang,
Ani's, villager were very
caring accepting and genuine.
I have truly enjoyed it all! ...
Everything was more than expected,
but perhaps the highlight was the
stay in Ani Gompa and village near
Tawang, I can't imagine why I
balked at first.

“As long as the people of your culture are convinced that the world belongs to them and that their divinely appointed destiny is to conquer and rule it, then they are of course going to go on acting the way they have been acting for the past ten thousand years. They’re going to go on treating the world as if it were a piece of human property and they’re going to go on conquering it as if were an adversary. You can’t change these things with laws. You must change people’s minds.” (Ishmael, p. 249)

Here I could go on and on like other web sites with lists of things to do and not do.  Politically correct words of what we are doing and trying to do.  A list of ethics and codes that we follow.

However we don't want to be cliché.  Simple put lets realize we are in this world for a short time, relative to its existence.  In that short time we can make a positive impact or negative one.  It is our hope that as we visit places we show the due respect to the people and environment we are visiting.  We are visiting them in their homes and places, it is not for us to put undue stress on the area and its people.

Sustainable Travel: Cultural Pursuits Code of Ethics for Visitors

  • Enjoy the diverse natural and cultural heritage and help us to protect and preserve it.
  • Help in conservations efforts through the efficient use of resources including energy and water.
  • Experience the friendliness of the people, help preserve these: by respecting the traditions, customs and regulations.
  • Avoid activities which threaten wildlife or which may be potentially damaging to the natural environment.
  • As you travel keep in mind that you are the visitor to somebody else's home.
