Formalities
Meghalaya - Assam and Tripura do not require entry formalities
For Indians:
Indian tourists need an Inner Line Permit which can be obtained from
the following authorities:-

The Inner Line Permit can also be
obtained from The Secretary (Political), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar-
791 111or, from The Deputy Commissioner of Changlang district.
For Foreigner:
Individual foreigner visiting
Arunachal Pradesh require Restricted Area Permit from the Ministry of Home
Affairs, Govt.of India (F-1), Lok Nayak Bhawan, Khan Market, New Delhi- 110 001.
Tel: 619709. Group tourists consisting of at least 4 (four) members can obtain
the R.A.P from
- All F.R.R.O at Calcutta, Delhi,
Bombay, Madras;
- Chief Immigration Officer,

- The Commissioner Home, Govt. of
Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar- 791 111.
Domestic tourists visiting Nagaland require to obtain Inner
Line Permits issued by the Deputy Resident Commissioner at Nagaland House,
Delhi, Calcutta and Assistant Resident Commissioner, Shillong; Additional Deputy
Commissioner, Dimapur; Deputy Commissioner, Kohima and Deputy Commissioner,
Mokokchung. A permit fee os Rs. 5.00 is realised from each applicant. Detailed
information can be had from the Directorate of Tourism, Nagaland, Kohima. Phone
21607/22214/21945. All foreign tourist desiring to visit Nagaland require
Restricted Area Permits from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,
South Block, New Delhi.
RESTRICTED AREA
PERMIT:
Restriction are in
place for entry of Foreign Tourists to visit some place in Mizoram.
Restricted Area
Permits for Foreign Tourists can be obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs,
Foreigners' Regional Registration Offices and Immigration offices at Airports at
New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chief Immigration Officer, Chennai apart from All
Indian Missions Overseas, I.G.Police or Home Commissioners of all the above
mentioned states.
Foreign Tourist will
be allowed to visit the above places for a maximum period of 10 days and in
groups of 4 or more persons. However, married couples can be allowed.
INNER LINE PERMITS:
Inner Line Permits
for Indian Tourists can be obtained from Resident Commissioners and
Representatives of the above states at New Deli, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chief
Immigration Officer, Chennai and at Border Crossings. For, Mizoram, the permit
can be had from the Office of the Resident Commissioner at New Delhi and Liaison
Officers based at Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong and Silchar.

The application forms for Protected Area Permit (PAP) for
entering Manipur shall be submitted or sent by posts to the offices listed
above at least 4 (four) weeks before the proposed visit. (Download

Every foreigner granted Protected Area Permit (PAP) shall
be charged a fee of Rs.1500/-. Any extension of the period of the permit
requires the payment of an additional fee to be decided by the state
government. The following places in Manipur are open to foreigners:
Foreign nationals visiting the state are subjected to the
following conditions:

The period of stay in the place is up to 10 days

Foreigners associated with Government projects will be
given permit for full period of the work

Visits have to be in Groups of four or more; 2(two) in
the case of married couples
SIKKIM- Entry
formalities
Foreign nationals need to
obtain Inner Line permit (ILP) to visit Sikkim which is issued by all Indian
Missions abroad, Tourism offices, New Delhi, Sikkim Tourism Office, Kolkatta
and Sikkim Tourist Office, Siliguri on the basis of an Indian visa. This
permit can be arranged by us in advance and we need following for this
purpose : photocopies of passport and Indian visa, 03 copies of passport
photos
